About Reflective Practice

Reflective Practice is led by Jez Todd a BACP-accredited counsellor and ICF-accredited executive coach, with more than twenty years’ experience as a Chief Executive, including direct work in family support, relationship support, bereavement and loss, addiction services, mental health, prisons, community regeneration, and education.


Jez has been a commentator on all aspects of family life during his role as Chief Executive of Family Lives and a regular media commentator for the BBC, ITV and national press including The Times, Guardian and The Telegraph and Financial Times.

Education, Training, and Professional Standing

Jez holds a postgraduate diploma in counselling and is BACP-accredited, practising in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in executive coaching and is ICF-accredited, working in accordance with ICF professional standards. He also holds a certificate in supervision.


His training is complemented by postgraduate study in management and supervision, and earlier academic work in theology. He has also worked as a visiting lecturer, tutor, and supervisor, supporting the development of practitioners and professionals over a number of years.
