I offer a thoughtful, integrative counselling practice for people who want to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful, sustainable change. My work supports people navigating complexity, whether that is emotional distress, life transitions, relationship pressure, family challenges, or questions of purpose and direction.
As a BACP counsellor and ICF-accredited executive coach, I combine psychological depth with practical focus. This allows me to work both therapeutically exploring patterns, emotions, and past experience and developmentally, helping people clarify goals, strengthen resilience and move forward with confidence and integrity.
My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in compassion. I draw on established psychological frameworks, coaching models, and relational practice, adapting my work carefully to the needs of each client. Sessions provide a confidential, containing space to think clearly, feel understood, and develop new ways of responding to challenge, at work and in life.
I work with adults on a one-to-one basis, offering both counselling and coaching, depending on what is most appropriate. My aim is not simply symptom relief or performance improvement, but deeper understanding, increased agency, and lasting personal and professional growth.
I also provide Walk and Talk therapy sessions.
My practice offers a calm, confidential, and reflective space where you can slow things down and make sense of what is happening in your life or work. People come to me for many reasons: feeling overwhelmed or stuck, navigating change or loss, managing pressure or responsibility, or wanting to understand themselves more deeply. You do not need to have clear answers before you begin; part of the work is discovering them together.
I work collaboratively rather than giving advice or quick fixes. I listen carefully, reflect back what I notice, and ask questions to help you explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and choices. I am active and engaged in sessions, offering both support and gentle challenge where it may be helpful.
I offer a supportive, confidential therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, openness, and careful attention to what is happening now, while also making sense of how the past may continue to shape present experience.
Therapy is not a quick fix or a “magic solution”, but it can offer invaluable support through understanding, insight, and a clearer view of patterns that keep you stuck.
Many people want to understand the impact of early life, family dynamics, and the role they learned to play in relationships. We may revisit painful experiences where that is therapeutically useful, but the aim is not to stay in the past. The focus is on helping you make sense of what you carry and supporting you to find a way forward with greater choice and steadiness.
My approach is integrative and humanistic, informed by psychodynamic/psychoanalytic thinking. This means the work is relational and reflective, and can include attention to:
At the outset, we will agree clear boundaries and practical arrangements, including confidentiality, session frequency, and review points. Sessions are structured but flexible: you may bring a specific issue, or we may begin with what feels most present for you that day.
I work at a pace that feels manageable, reviewing progress regularly. I aim to offer a respectful, non-judgemental space and practise in line with professional and ethical standards, with regular supervision to support safe, reflective work.
